Alain Gauthier is a world-class Movement Designer, Physical Acting Coach, and Creative Director specializing in transforming complex character concepts into striking physical realities. With a career spanning over four decades, Gauthier bridges the gap between elite human performance and cutting-edge cinematic technology.
Most recently, he served as the movement designer and coach for major Hollywood features, including formulating the chilling biomechanics of “The Offspring” in 20th Century Studios/Disney’s Alien: Romulus, directing lead cast motion capture for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, and coaching physical performance for A24’s The Backrooms. A former Team Canada competitive trampolinist and veteran Cirque du Soleil acrobat, Gauthier brings an unparalleled understanding of gravity, spatial dynamics, and physical storytelling to modern blockbuster filmmaking.
